IN APPRECIATION
My special thanks are due to my daughter and son:
ARIF BUDIMAN AND YASMIN NADIRAH
They have contributed their time, energy and most of all their computer competency toward realising their father's petty and frivolous pursuit of publishing,in miniscule scale, the stories of Kajang High School, our Alma Mater in yesteryears in a compilation entitled : LONG LONG AGO IN KAJANG HIGH SCHOOL.
Perhaps out of filial consideration or may be pity over their father's woeful lack of computer - savviness, they have patiently and ungrudgingly,in their spare time,
keyed -in bits and pieces of inputs into the computer, scanned relevant photos, printed copies of the manuscript for proof-reading and editing etc.In short, they were deeply involved in every step of the way pre-publication.
Last but not least,I wish to put on record (to cast in stone?) my debt of gratitude to Christopher Pelly and Chandran T,my two long-time friends. We were once class-mates all through our years in the Kajang High School.
An important and a prominent personage of the local Catholic Church and Community,Christopher Pelly has loaned me his private collection of the past editions of the Kajang High Yearbook which, admittedly, were a mine of information.
Chandran T has written pieces, incognito, for the KHS CLASS 1956 CELEBRATORY SOUVENIR PUBLICATION and in which are embedded valuable resources.Needless to say, they suit my purpose to the hilt and I have unashamedly accessed and capitalised on them.
To the both of them,I would like to say: Friends are forever - just like diamonds!
